This year a trial batch of baked goods made from coloured wheat varieties will be tested at an agricultural enterprise in the village of Kuzmyn, Krasyliv district. Chief agronomist Vasyl Kosiuk explained that wholegrain bread and confectionery will be baked in the company’s own bakery from grain grown in its fields. The agronomist adds that the produce, rich in antioxidants and trace elements, will not yet be made on an industrial scale, because there is still too little coloured grain.
